Bella esperienza!

We stayed here for three nights and loved it! They gave our children their own stuffed animals at check in and from then on the tone was set. It’s a gorgeous, unique and friendly resort. Our cottage was pristine and we had no issues whatsoever. We enjoyed the activities offered, and just walking around the gorgeous grounds. The restaurant was very delicious, and the spa was top notch. Our children enjoyed the playground, bikes and s’mores. The little shop also had some beautiful one-of-a-kind gifts and keepsakes! Come and check it out, we can’t wait to come visit again. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Went to Barnsley in 2023 for Thanksgiving. Was so delightful that came back this year. Not so delightful this year. Arrived on 11/25. No fire in lobby for days. Some sort of problem with flue. Maybe fix it? Scones were few and far between during first two days. Fruit was not good. Ruins were not lit up. Finally had to mention it to concierge. Noticed they were lit the day after Thanksgiving. Not to mention that the Bier Garten was still under serious construction. Should have been given a head’s up. Thanksgiving meal was chaos. Long lines and food was cold. When I got to the turkey station, server took a handful of what looked like scraps and plopped it on my plate. I questioned about the skin and he said that’s the best part. Then put cold gravy and cranberry sauce on top. Not good. Finally, when paying for our drinks at end of meal, server brought check with handwritten note on back with room number and a handwritten line for tip. Bingo was a joke at $20 a head. Hope the money went to charity. On a positive note overall staff was courteous and very pleasant.

We enjoyed the Thanksgiving Holiday at Barnsley Resort for 3 nights. We attended the festivities of the lighting of the Christmas Tree and the entire property. With all the activities during that time - Santa, live music, hot chocolate, crafts for the children, letters to Santa writing station, miniature train ride around the property, food - I felt like I was in the middle of a Hallmark movie.
We enjoyed the Thanksgiving Day buffet. The meal was delicious but there was some kind of glitch on seating people because there was a backlog. But once seated the servers took good care of us. The lines were long for the buffet but we were not in a hurry so that was not a big issue.

We attended the Swine and Wine event in October, 2024 and it was an amazing event and weekend. We had a two bedroom cottage that my husband and I shared with my brother and sister-in-law. We did the five stand shooting experience, bourbon tasting, ate at Woodlands grill and Beer Garden. Everything about our trip was amazing. From the leadership team to every team member, everyone cares and it shows! The property is also in excellent condition! Enjoy!

As an Administrative Assistant it takes a lot of work and time to find the perfect work retreat for your team. Barnsley Resort made this business conference / retreat one for the records! Everyone on my team had a great time and enjoyed all the perks of Barnsley. I had a main contact person the whole time we was there, Savannah T., and she made my job so much easier! She responded to my texts immediately and made sure everything was perfect for our meetings and our meals. The food is amazing, the activities for team building are very fun and really worked, the conference rooms are a great size and the AV team on-site is very helpful and friendly.

Best service and atmosphere of any resort we have experienced. So many outdoor activities available. We did trail riding, golfing & sporting clays and loved them! Also went to the Booth Museum (about 30 minutes away) which was amazing. Largest collection of western art in the world (if I’m recalling correctly). While there try the restaurant, Maine On Main!

Too expensive for the experience. Staff was friendly but with 20% gratuity included they had no incentive to go above and beyond. Food was average and needs to be much more elevated for the price. Elevator wasn’t working. We were given a handy-cap room. They couldn’t find our reservation. The fried chicken at Woodlands was not good. They forgot about our rose and deserved us dirty glass and then a dusty glass. There needs to be more food options and affordable activities. Needs a coffee shop. If you are going to spend $500 a night on a room, my expectations are much higher than the experience we received. It has potential but the staff needs to be more passionate.
