Piacevolissimo soggiorno e fantastica colazione !

We had a wonderful two night stay at Canan's beautiful property! The views over the rolling wine hills are idyllic and peaceful, perfect for a relaxed holiday. The house is superbly designed and cared for, every detail from the delicious organic breakfast to the toiletries in the bathroom are carefully thought out. We really felt at home there and we especially loved making friends with her two cats. She gave us great recommendations on charming towns and vineyards nearby, we found La Morra to be our favorite (Barbaresco and Neive were on the top of the list as well). There were so many interesting things to do, see, drink and eat, we only wish we had more time there! Looking forward to our next visit!

Cascina Gallo Orsi is a beautifully situated recently renovated farmhouse with a most charming guest room. We've already stayed there at least three times and keep returning for many reasons: Piedmont itself is a fascinating wine region with a rooted cultural and culinary background, all in a breathtaking rolling hills setting. So there is not a dull moment there. The guest room at Gallo Orsi is quite spacious, has a beautiful garden view, is tastefully furnished (antique family pieces combined with new and practical ones) and provides great privacy with its beautiful bathroom (one that includes a bidet for the appreciators, not to mention all amenities, selection of soaps and towels). A great sleep in a comfortable bed and a completely quiet environment! But we like especially the owners, Canan & Umberto, who make one feel very welcome and at home. They love their home and its surroundings and love to share it with their guests. One becomes a witness and a part of their every day life.

Everything about this home is lovely: the house is tasteful and comfortable, the view spectacular, the breakfasts varied, delicious and home made. The guest room is carefully furnished with one's every need, the modern bathroom a delight.The whole experience is made to please the visitor. Possibly the best are the hosts who could not be more interesting, charming or helpful. Canan and Umberto are eager to share their extensive knowledge of the area and help with maps and reservations. From the Cascina there are many, restaurants, walks and sites to visit.

Another wonderful time at Canan & Umberto's! And it's all about the ingredients; the view, the fresh air, the companionship, the food & the wine. The house is charming with stunning views. The kitchen is the Centre of this home & as guests you are made to feel so comfortable. It all has a lovely feeling of calm. ||||The location of Cascina Gallo Orsi is brilliant. There is easy access to many interesting places, vineyards & towns with a beautiful historical connection to the land & vineyards. It's great walking country so bring your boots. Canan & Umberto are nature buffs so they have the binoculars & books & ideas for where to go exploring. Food & wine is a big thing & Canan's wonderful WFPB dishes & ideas are easy to take home with you. ||||Do look at the garden & don't forget to give their gorgeous donkeys a big scratch! You arrive as strangers & leave as good friends. The best kind of place to stay. And did I mention the local orchids? Oh my gosh!!
