These are tiny rooms built in shipping containers, so be prepared for tiny living. The space is used efficiently, and the rooms are beautifully appointed. We were greeted warmly by the staff with a cocktail and had the Hotel Otto's signature Aperol spritzer kit waiting in our room.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Otto for a quick staycation to celebrate our anniversary and it was wonderful! Staff was very helpful and gave us a tour of the property on our way to our room. We also loved going to get our welcome drink at Gemelle and chatting with some of the staff there. When we returned from the evening, we enjoyed a fire on our rooftop of our room. The property is quaint and quiet and does not feel like you are close to the city at all.

We will be planning to return in the future and recommend to anyone needing a quick getaway in DFW!

Super cute boutique hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Requested an early check in with no issues and was welcomed with no charge cocktails and drinks in the rooms. Would definitely recommend. Bed is lovely. Thank you Hotel Otto

I really wanted to love this place. The idea is GREAT- the execution needs improvement. Let me preface by saying, I realize it's Summer in Texas. You can't guarantee no one will see a bug or two. But our room had... a LOT of spiders inside- above the curtains covering the sliding door. Harmless variety- but for an arachnophobe like myself... it wasn't ideal. And nothing that regular standard cleaning couldn't prevent. The windowsill next to the bed had some bottle caps and USED DENTAL FLOSSERS left behind (ew). The tv was left on some soft core "adult film". The sink was clogged. The rooftop umbrella was broken. There was a dead spider in the bed. It was not a WOW experience from a cleanliness standpoint.

The AC will NOT cool the room in the Texas heat with the setting the unit was left on at arrival- and I don't mean the temperature. We had to tinker around with the settings for the fan speed, swing and mode to cool it down- this isn't a complaint, it's just an FYI if you stay here and are frustrated with the temperature in the room. The remote allowed for full adjustment, and after we figured it out it did get comfortable later in the evening.

We were ready to leave early the next morning, but couldn't find anyone to return our key to- and couldn't find any instructions for checking out, anywhere. And no one answered the guest services or front desk numbers provided. The restaurant where you check in was closed, so we waited in our car, all packed up, until someone from the restaurant showed up. I followed her in to the To-Go door and scared the heck out of her (sorry girl)- just to ask where to check out. She tried to find someone to help but ultimately took the key from me, and we left. Kind of chaotic. If you're going to operate somewhere between an Air BnB and traditional hotel- I highly recommend smoothing out the process for guests. Maybe key pads on the rooms instead of physical keys that have to be returned? Regardless, it was a bit frustrating.

On the positive side- the location was nice. The grounds were quaint and cute. The stay was very very quiet. It felt secure and pretty secluded because of the positioning of the property and fence. The gal that checked us in was very pleasant. The complimentary in-room aperol spritz was a nice touch and ice was provided prior to arrival- we couldn't find a bottle opener for the soda to add to the spritz- but we got it figured out.

Unfortunately, it was not worth the 300.00 price tag for this stay. I hope things are improved with greater attention to cleanliness and a simplified check-in/check-out process, because it could be really special... and I'd love to try again later with an improved experience.

Overall, my boyfriend and I left satisfied with our stay at Hotel Otto. When we arrived it was raining so we were not given much of a tour, which is understandable. I do wish, however, we were offered umbrellas when they were taking us to our room as we got soaked during that time. Upon arrival to our room, the rug was soaked, and the entire floor was damp with water coming up between each piece of the vinyl flooring. It remained this way the entirety of our stay.

We did opt in for the dinner+movie date night package. We made our complimentary Aperol Spritz, which was nice, but we never received our complimentary bottle of champagne, like advertised. Our dinner at Gemelle's was fantastic. All of the food was delicious, and the drinks were spot on. Once we got back to our room, we had a small bowl of popcorn (wish there was more) and 2 small boxes of candy for us to enjoy. The hotel otto staff never contacted us beforehand to have snacks that suit our taste, like advertised. We also got breakfast in bed the following morning since it was a bit cold outside. The breakfast was alright. I found it to be very pricey for what was offerred. It also was not a traditional pancakes and waffles kind of breakfast. It was $70 for breakfast for 2 people.

If we come back, we are unlikely to do the movie+dinner package as I feel like what was offered was not worth our money. However, we will be eating at Gemelle's again as it was outstanding!

Once again I’ve been out investigating local locations just to see what we have in and around town so what you get here is a first impression on seeing the grounds and not a full report what it’s like to stay the night. I can’t just be staying everywhere all night every night. ? That could add up.

Hotel Otto defines itself as off the beaten path, but within sight of it and I’d rate that a true. You can access Fort Worth and its many amenities with very little trouble, but you can’t do so on foot from this location; you'll definitely need a car to get there. Seven minutes for example if you ignore the “quirky, contemporary Italian-American eatery (Gemelle) with a full bar, garden patio & bocce ball courts that serves side of rabbit rattlesnake sausage for breakfast” and drive to the Velvet Taco to get yourself a late night taco. 1 hour 34 minutes if you walk.

The hotel sits straight across from the Trinity Trails White Settlement Trailhead which ideally makes for an ingeniously vigorous walk (if you do happen to be inclined) along the river or a bicycle ride or horses if you can figure out who it is who will rent them. I have definitely seen them up and down this section of the trail near this location and the website says there is also a kayak slip though I failed to locate it on this occasion, the vegetation was up to my knees.

What you can absolutely get here in loads regarding the actual facilities is a quiet venue with a quiet Italian meal and a quiet interaction with any of the other restaurant goers in the garden patio or the seven other people staying in container bungalow rooms which are a fairly new and uniquely interesting concept.

Additionally, though they’re not built for it I thought the kids might enjoy some biking on the concrete slopes they have just under the bridge and still on the trail. I always wanted to do such things as a kid and was never allowed.

Scarring.
