Our recent visit to Palisades at Tahoe for a conference was an outstanding experience. The resort’s setting amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of the Lake Tahoe area provided a serene and inspiring backdrop for our event. The food exceeded expectations, with each meal offering a delightful array of flavors and high-quality ingredients that perfectly complemented the upscale ambiance. The attention to detail in both the culinary offerings and the overall service truly enhanced our stay.

In addition to the excellent conference facilities, Palisades at Tahoe's proximity to the Garner Chief Trail was a significant highlight. We enjoyed the opportunity to explore this nearby trail, which offered stunning views and a refreshing outdoor escape. The peaceful environment and magnificent natural scenery made it an ideal location for both productive work and leisurely exploration. Overall, Palisades at Tahoe not only provided a top-notch conference experience but also allowed us to immerse ourselves in the area’s incredible beauty, making it a memorable and rejuvenating retreat.

Living in California for 57 years and we finally went to Palisades Squaw Valley. The gondola looks awesome and scary at the same time. I can't wait to come back and go snowboarding.

Awesome resort! Fun runs, friendly staff. I'm a beginner skier so I can't speak to the more challenging runs, but there were a lot of talented skiers and snowboarders doing a lot of cool tricks that we could see from the ski lifts/gondolas!
Prices are fairly reasonable if booking in advance. Note, the hill closes at 2pm in the spring time. Something we hadn't realized when we traveled there to ski for the day. We would've started our day much earlier had we known.
The village at the bottom of the hill is fun; there are several shops (Patagonia, North Face etc), cafes, pubs and outdoor rest areas. It's neat to see the Olympic memories from 1960. The tall, rocky mountains you pass on the way to the summit are what inspired 1960 Olympic host Walt Disney to create the Big Thunder Mountain ride!
If you head there in the spring, there are tons of ladybugs and maple bugs just chilling and walking around on the snow! It's so funny to see! My kids loved it!
Bathrooms were clean, tissues for runny noses provided at the chair lifts and again, staff was incredibly easygoing, kind and passionate about helping you have a great experience.
Don't forget to dip your toes into Lake Tahoe after a day in ski boots!

This is a glorious place to spend a day skiing. It consistently rates as the best resort in Northern California. As a bonus you can also ski Alpine which is also a top resort and arguably more enjoyable given its smaller crowds and local feel. Both resorts are stunningly beautiful with an abundance of terrain to explore. Tips up!

Very historical place and lovely views. Staff was awesome and very knowledgeable. Loved it all. I definitely recommended it. Wish it wasn't so windy to play some Frisbee golf. THE BBQ SMELLED SO GOOD, BUT IT'S VERY DECEIVING AND IT WAS THE WORST PLACE TO EAT ? OVERPRICED!!!!. Other than that, I would love to return when theirs snow . Thank you

The absolute worst resort I’ve ever stayed at. Should’ve just paid and stayed at Everline. Everything is dated. Room was falling apart. Then if you want to sleep past 5am, good luck. Deliveries and work trucks all morning, no wonder I found ear plugs on my counter in my room. Front desk was awful, just wanted to talk over me and argue and tell me I’m wrong.

DO NOT STAY HERE.

EDIT: lmao love how management replies and just says sorry not sorry. As a business owner myself, this is not rocket science in how to respond to a customer. Saying sorry and thanking someone for feedback is extremely tone deaf. Not that I would ever stay there again, but offering a free nights stay or a gift card or even uhh a partial refund is the pretty obvious here.

Also wanted to add, pretty much every store was closed as well. Was a ghost town. Even asked to move rooms and one lady goes were pretty full and then another gentleman goes no we’re pretty empty. Which is it?

Know what place wasn’t a ghost town, Everline where my friends stayed. Everything open, vibing with people.

Again if you see this review pleaseeeeee listen and do not stay here.

Awesome resort offering a great variety of terrain from beginner to super advanced. The resort now connects to alpine meadow which offers way more option to ride. The other side of the mountain is accessible by the gondola and takes about 15min to connect. There are great views of Lake Tahoe as well
