In aller Kürze: wir hatten eine Wundervolle Zeit in la prora. Wer geschmackvolle Inneneinrichtung und hohen Standard weiß, der wird hier voll auf seine Kosten kommen. Von dort aus lassen sich sehr schöne Tagesausflüge in den Süden (Fischmarkt in Catania, Etna,...) und den Norden (Taormina, Landesinneres) machen. Die norwegischen Inhaber sind sehr angenehm, freundlich und offen. Die schlechte Bewertung können wir nicht nachvollziehen, es hört sich an, als läge hier eine Verwechslung mit einer anderen Unterkunft vor.

Stayed here in Sep. 2005; the owners were fine the first day, progressively got more rude as the week went on; coffee served to guests of the hotel was of poor quality - different from the one you could buy at the bar in the same hotel; location is not the best - a good 20-minute walk to a rocky beach, and have to bus it or take the car to Taormina or Giardini-Naxos. Would not stay there again. Much better option to stay in Giardini - right on the beach, close to restaurants, etc.

My wife and I stayed there for 3 days in 2005 and we were overall very satisfied. You must remember that the amenities normally come with a price. For the price of the rooms at La Prora, we have nothing bad to say. As for the location, it's a 5 minutes bus ride to Taormina. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. We have nothing to say against the owners also. Not too talkative, but respectful.

We just spend the most relaxed days in La Prorara in perfect stylish luxury!||||Located 70 meters above Isola Bella and below Taormina this wonderfully newly restored villa offers tranquil views and gardens in a historic setting.||||The Norwegian owners spared no expense to create a tasty temporary feel with in the 400 years old walls.||||It sleeps up to 17 in 7 spacious rooms and apartments, and has wornderfull reception rooms, contemporary kitchen spacious garden patio and large heated pool with views onto the sea...||||Heaven in Taormina a mere 10 mins away from the buzz!
