Booked Villa Zen, got Villa Branco. Room was very spacious and the view was amazing! One of the best views in Taormina, so cannot fault that.|Room itself needs some TLC! Blinds were broken so provided no privacy. Was a bit of an issue at night as you could see inside. |Too far out of town. About a 15, or so, minute walk down some very uneven steps. 226+ steps down into town to be exact and quite steep pavements in places. Coming back up was a problem. If you have mobility issues it cannot be done. Also, difficult getting the bus back. No one knew the bus stop. Villa Zen is off the beaten track, so a little hard to find. No English speaking Italians made it hard to communicate. Ticket lady at bus terminal in Town spoke no English. Bus drivers spoke no English. Kettle provided but nothing else. Nothing around here at night. Neighbouring dogs barking all the time especially when you walk past to get to the accommodation. Shower head needs changing as it’s seen better days; water spraying everywhere. Flooring looks like it’s recently been fitted. Could have a nice sitting area other than the bed. Really no need for wall to wall closets. Didn’t really enjoy this place!
