This was our second time staying at the Island Vista Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. We were traveling with a group from Dunlap Travel. We found our room very well appointed with beautiful views of the ocean with breathtaking sunrises. The Housekeeping Staff did an excellent job making sure we had clean towels each day. What a pleasure to return to the room and have the beds made and everything tidy. Pauline, at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we requested. The service and food in the restaurant was outstanding. Anthony, our server, was a pleasure. He was very efficient and had a witty personality (which we enjoyed). Oh! and the Christmas decorations were so beautiful. Look forward to our next stay.

This was our first visit to the Island Vista! Check in / check out was easy. I liked having a card to get into the building and our suite. It was helpful being able to park on the same floor we stayed on but those spaces were tight to park a truck. Our suite was nice-especially the kitchen, living & bedroom. Main bathroom shower needs some work-a bit of scrubbing would help. Strange having all these locked doors in the suite-must have been adjoining rooms. The ocean view from living and bedroom was amazing! Spacious balcony with rocking chairs. Lazy river, 2 hot tubs and a couple swimming pools were great options. Staff were pleasant and friendly! Our cleaning lady was so sweet! We appreciated the gift card to use at the Cypress Room! Y’all gotta try the pizza! We decided to stay another night and Nick was able to keep us in the same suite! Thank you again! Looking forward to coming back!

This is one of the best places we have stayed in Myrtle Beach. We often visit from Charleston for date nights to enjoy the sunrise and sunset over the ocean from the balcony. This hotel exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely return.

This place was perfect. Quiet area. Convenient location. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The view from the balcony was just gorgeous. The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful.
The only downside to me was I wish I had more time to stay.

She aging a bit but still a great place for a family vacation when you want everyone to share space. We had a 3 bedroom 3 bath ocean front room with a fantastic view of the sea. It was spacious well appointed and clean. The overall hotel is a little dated and the gym is tiny but otherwise it is still a great place for a family. Cypress room pizza is great and the rest of the food is good. Drinks are not the most potent but again family resort. Pools are clean grounds are well kept and it's steps to the beach. Service not only is every member of the team excellent but they accommodated my large family across three rooms on the same floor. The team at Island Vista is one of its best features making vacay smooth and easy.

I always read the reviews before checking things out. A few years ago we had a terrible incident at another hotel so we were trying to find a very good place to stay.||The one thing I see a lot of in MB is that a lot of hotels the rooms are privately owned, so it is a gamble on what your room would look like.||Everything looks so wonderful here. I will say it does look a little outdated and not as crisp as a lot of places are leaning for these days. The beds are comfy. The furniture is okay. The kitchen is small, but it gives you that home away from home feel.||I would live here. That's how satisfied I am of this place. It's clean. It's functional.||It's perfect. ?

Nice place to stay at the beach. It was a little outdated in appearance and in TV controls ( rentals of dvds), but it was clean and neat! I love the kitchenette. We had ocean view from the living room but would have loved ocean view from the bedroom. It was not overly expensive. Parking was convenient. (Parking deck not far from elevators).Good price for a quiet location.

First time staying here and was blown away. Stayed in 506 and the room was fantastic. The whole hotel and pools are amazing. Restaurant downstairs is awesome as well. Had my 4 yr old accident drop his croc off the balcony onto the roof and called the desk and maintenance retrieved it and brought it back to the room. Staff is professional and very kind. Best part is the hotel is isolated from other hotels, you have your own beach on either side. Great location for peace and quiet. Definitely be returning.
